Diamond Hawk is a public 18-hole golf course located in Cheektowaga, New York.
The course first opened for play in 2006. It was designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan, and William A. Kerman.
DiamondHawk is not your fathers municipal golf course. It is a really difficult and challenging championship golf course.
The course challenges you with length, 7,058 yards from the championship tees and with the tight fairways, numerous bunkers, tough roughs and massive greens. Land in the rough, and you might not recover your ball. Hit the green and you might have a 120 foot putt.
The course winds through housing, is next to a municipal park and an office park, and the airport control tower is easily visible from a distance. But the 16th and 17th holes pass through protected wetlands, with water hazards, and dense foliage.
With five sets of tee boxes ranging from 7,058 yards of play to 5,118 yards, golfers can choose the degree of difficulty that fits their comfort level and or their desire to challenge this risk/reward golf layout.

Play this course for league and really enjoy its variety and skill required. Some fairways can be very tight and require good course management to score.

This course places a priority on hitting the ball straight and staying in the fairways. Off the fairways and you will find gnarly heather. There are also numerous pot bunkers.
This course can provide plenty of golf complications reminiscent of a links course. The front nine has many doglegs and slopes along with gorgeous fairway traps and sand features.
The overall feel is that of a resort course. The greens are true and roll well. This is a course you should play if you are in the area. Try it, you will like it!

Course in great shape. We played with discount certificate on the holiday which surprised me that they let us use it that day. Temps in the high 80 s and not 1 water jug or access to drinking water anywhere on course. After our round we went in to have a drink and the bar/restaurant had closed since we made the turn. It was only 4:00 when we finished.
